ABOUT
Mary Vossou is a visual artist born in 1997 in Zakynthos, Greece. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (drawing) and Art Sciences from the University of Ioannina. Currently based in Athens, she often creates installations that incorporate various media, such as drawing and video art.
Her concept "Space is constructed by the objects it entails", reflects the transformative power of objects within a given space, shaping and defining our understanding of it. Her artistic research comes as 'How to' guides for adapting to unconventional spaces and overcoming barriers. Her latest projects "How to Adapt in an Uncommon Space", "How to Cross a Wall" and “Your Storage is Full’ explore the capacity of a space and the need to fill it to the brim.
Her work has been exhibited at the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa, GlogauAIR in Berlin,Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan and Agrillides Gallery in Athens, amongst others.
