RAR FILE, 100 x 150 cm, Acrylics
In Athens, there is a movement of objects across the city that feels like a ritual that is repeated everyday but nobody seems to notice. People that participate in this process try to load as much as they can on anything with wheels. They collect objects from the pavement or from the bins, which they reuse or sell as raw material participating in a process of recycling without intending to.
These objects find their way in personal spaces organized between other personal items or form piles in storage rooms or as photographs in our phones. And when we don't use them anymore, we leave them in the streets and they become part of a growing landscape - a pile of forgotten moments. But If those piles of objects were monuments, would we photograph them?
